On Blog Giveaways

I enter a lot of blog giveaways. I'm not usually the kind of person who wins much, and I'm definitely no good with gambling, but blog giveaways are safe: I'll never lose anything by entering them. Because people give away some seriously awesome stuff! Jewelry... handmade goods... gift certificates... lots and lots of wedding related items.

So when I entered this giveaway last week I figured, as usual, I'd see someone else's name posted as the winner. Imagine my surprise when I read this post on the very same blog:

We even get to customize it: lace or no lace on the dress, suit and tie color, hair color, hair accessory and bouquet color. So just a reminder, if you've lost faith in giveaways on blogs, don't, because you never know when you'll randomly win something you really, really want (and had contemplated buying anyway but wanted to make sure all of the important stuff was covered before spending a ridiculous amount of money on something you don't really need, especially when you aren't even sure you'll have a traditional cake that needs a topping accessory.)

Though I love doing my Found in the Forums Friday posts, it's proved to be more trouble than it's worth over the past few weeks- which is why you haven't seen it lately!
