The Anniversary Book

So not only did I blog about our anniversary a month late, I'm running about three months late on the recap of Sean's anniversary gift. But I finally have the pictures and I'm sitting at the right computer to be able to post them!

I found just the right fabric in my scraps to make a book for Sean. Believe me, manly prints are hard to come by in my collection of scraps, so this was quite the find. That's a sprig of lavender that Sean picked for me from his garden.

I found the tutorial for the binding in Craft Magazine's final issue. I think it turned out awesome, and it wasn't too difficult to figure out.

Each page has a different drawing for each month of the previous year. I looked back at the time we spent together and wrote down something about how I felt during that time. Then I came up with a simple illustration to go along with it.

So there's a few of the pages... I'm a little too bashful to share the entire thing, but I'm glad I finally got around to posting! The book has been permanently attached to Sean's coffee table since he opened it.  :)

  1. This is really a clever idea. I love the finished product. There's really nothing like a personalized gift.
